I just want to make sure that I know it is high poisonous and Datura same thing to Brugs poison. Please let me know to make sure, I know when touch need to be wash hands all the time but smell sniff flowers harm??

Rose, you don't need gloves, just wash your hands after you handle the fresh seeds. But that's the same for so many other plants. The leaves on a tomato are poisonous, and lots of garden plants. Just don't eat the plants:) and wash your hands. No need to be afraid.

I sniffed my brugs till I almost passed from the wonderful smell and am still kicking!
Redrose, Last year I opened several white Datura pods with my bare hands.I pricked my fingers several times on the pods and handled the seeds with no bad effect.I just washed my hands after handling them.Like tiG said, they are only harmful if eaten.Enjoy them and don't be afraid.
Hmm, I chewed several Brugmansia leaves to prove a point once-nastiest tasting stuff I ever tasted. Note, I did not swallow the poison. I have heard that getting the juice in ones eyes can cause one to have dilated pupils though. Case in point, Belladonna, a plant in the same family used to be used by maidens wanting to look more beautiful. They would take a drop of tinture in the eyes to dilate them to make them look more beautiful.
