Hi, Everybody, Thought I'd share a 'Journey South' article that just landed in my e-mail this afternoon. It explains the routes that the Monarchs take back down to Mexico. You can follow the links for clearer maps and also the map of the migration roosts reported so far and other sightings. If you click on the little red dots you can find out who around you is watching/gardening for monarchs too.

My 'peak' migration count (I'm in Cincinnati Ohio) for this year was 3 monarchs in one day this week. That's a paltry count compared to past years! My verbena bonarienses is what they are interested in nectaring on these late summer days.
Have you had a 'high' migration count this season??
