Hi,
I just bought this property a few years ago. It has a pear tree in front of the deck. I was wondering if anyone could identify what kind of pear tree it is? Are the pears edible or ornamental only? How high can this tree grow? It is about 20 ft high now and was planted about 15 years ago. It was trimmed a few years ago but grew out again quickly? The shoots are rather long. I live in Connecticut.

Looks like it could be a bosc by the darker yellowish/brown color of the fruit.
I googled Bosc. Yes. I think you are right. Thanks for the help! The fruit pictures online look like mine
