This bird looks entirely black all over. I have a few guides that all indicate these guys have bright white or pale yellow eyes. Unless my focus needs to be closer up, I'm seeing dark eyes. The photos don't show the entire tail, but it's not a long one. What do I have here?
Looks like a melanistic (abnormally dark) House Sparrow to me. The bill is much too thick for Brewer's Blackbird.
