It was in my back yard in a pile of wood that had been sitting there for a month. It was very fast. Also, I'm from Iowa.
Is it poisonous and do I need to take any precautions?

CLOSED: What kind of spider is this?
Appears to be one of the grass/funnel web spiders in the family Agelenidae. Not at all dangerous to humans.
