Does yours live outside in winter too?

Yes. Its now in a 5 gallon Kell. First year bloomed, second year no blooms. Third year- bloomed all summer. It's deciduous. As soon as the weather turns chilly in December- it drops leaves frost or not.
This last wet winter cause some tip dieback- but its sprouting out now. I am considering putting it in ground...but its so nice. Gopher I bet would head straight to it.
Better to keep it potted for now.

I have been looking for a pink Uncarina forever. I bought one on ebay a few years ago but the tip rotted and it never has grown at all.

Put it in a black pot- to get it hot- and full all day sun. You might get good growth with no bloom (but it might bloom) the first year of that..then the next it blooms like crazy.

My yellow flowered ones grow great and bloom. Just the pink one is stunted. No leaves even. LOL

Sounds like some other more tropical types. The best we can do in the bay area is boost heat with walls, black pots and as much sun as possible. With the typical planted yard on a small lot of garden - thats not easy either. I know that. My home is like a shade dial...
