If only they germinated easily. How Clematis texensis looks today.

Wow! Girl you were not kidding, that is amazing. Do save some of those glorious seeds, we will have to give it a try.

Wow! That's crazy, but in a good way! I might even go for some of those seeds.

I'll collect a bunch, maybe we can find a way to get them to germinate in pots.

one thing for sure, my refrigerate in wet permiculite followed by greenhouse in potting soil was a total flop. I think they want to germinate in the fall while the weather is still hot. I have some seed on the one I bought but they haven't ripened yet

I had about 8 seedlings near another vibe this spring. Not sure if they survived after being potted, Josephine? I still have a few in the ground but the roots are very deep and they aren't easy to dig out.

Of the ones you gave two have survived but are still very small.
The Zinnia grandiflora has grown sone and bloomed a little.

I'm glad the zinnia is growing. I would keep it in that pit in full sun until it really looks like it's grown some good roots. I don't think it will survive long term in rich, mulched beds. It needs a lot of sun and gravelly soil.
