lifting Daffodil Bulbs

I'm re-dong a small garden. The surface is uneven. As I leveled the soil, there were daffodil bulbs at the surface. I have dug them up.

Should I replant them now?
Wait until fall?
Let them dry out a couple of days first? Then plant?

I don't like it that daffodils work their way up to the top of the soil. It's a pain.

Just replant them now - simple.

I agree. I had a bunch of Mt. Hood daffs that actually lifted themselves to the surface. I immediately replanted.
