I've had this plant a decade and it's never bloomed before late fall?

What is it? Pretty blooms! My sage is blooming and it's usually a fall bloomer, too.

Yes it is, everything is crazy this year.
I'm chalking it up to a warm winter and early spring, then cool temps in late spring.
Some years the blooms go on forever, as if trying to throw a lot of seed before the weather changes and nothing blooms. Most Tx natives are very adaptable that way, as well as some of the flowers that have naturalized.
My sages were blooming like crazy back in April and May. Now there's only a few flowers left on them. Plenty of leaves just no blooms. I'm confused. Is this normal or did I do something that I know not what?
I think our plants are reacting to the warmer winter we had.
