A few of my iris developed buds and the weather turned cold again. The buds now have a paper like cover. I assume they are dead. I also assume I should cut the stem off but will these plants bud again?
Cold weather damage
If irises did not recover by now I would cut them. There is possibility that your irises will not bloom this year but they should bloom again next year. Of course, it depends on the damage and the variety. If you have damaged foliage, remove it, but try no to remove any undamaged leaves. Good luck with new blooms!
