Not so much new, but I'm suddenly seeing more of them at Sand Creek, and I'm hoping to get some IDs. I'd somehow managed to set my camera exposure to "ridiculous", so these are somewhat high contrast. I'd been told earlier that they were Goldeneye, but I photographed this last duck in California, and was told he was a Common Goldeneye. I am now officially confused. Please help?
New Ducks
They're all Common Goldeneye, but you were told wrong about the last one, unlike the first three you should've been told SHE was a Common Goldeneye ;-)

There are some very good photos on "All About Birds"

Ah! So I stand further educated. I've enjoyed seeing the Golden-eyes out at the creek, and finally have a camera that will allow me to photograph them in better detail, once I learn how to use it. Oddly, I'd never wondered about their gender, or taken notice of the females. How nice to know that those incredibly adorable brown fuzzy birds that I saw in California are so nearby. Thanks for your help.
