That I removed Kell. I also have the Ficus 'Ruby' and it turned out to be the better F.e.plant..more red and more cold tolerance. I have that in a big 24" pot. It needs bigger too!
You have to draw the line with Ficus and pots and in ground. Of course after removing the in ground elastic,I planted near there a Bocconia frutescens. I can't let any spot go unplanted!

For some reason,it was fading on me. When I cut the variegated down? I expected it to send up many suckers..and it didn't. It just died. Gophers might have got it. Same with Electric Pink,it was three 5' stems...then one died..the very next year another died. Now I have one tall stem and many new shoots low.
It's just either keep going or give up..I keep going!
