Has anyone used the Pennington black oil sunflower seed that's "cherry" flavored? I saw this at Sam's Club this week. My first question was Why in the World!!! They also had bags of wild bird seed from Pennington that were cherry flavored.
BOSS question
No, I have not and I am not sure I would trust it. Birds do not need any additives in their food. I haven't found a link to the seed you mentioned, but found many links about "cherry scented" bird seed. It's my turn to ask, "Why in the world?!?!" I suspect marketing is all it is and I just hope it doesn't harm the birds.
No - haven't tried it. Sounds weird - I am not sure what the point is.
Last time I was buying suet blocks, I had trouble finding ones without food coloring - and I can't figure out what the point is of that, either.
