This stately bird practically swooped over my head as he landed in the top of a tree beside me. I've photographed this bird locally, so would assume that's what I have here, but my shock at his proximity made me pretty much forget how to use my camera. Catching him in flight left me breathless.

Thanks for the confirmation. Twas purely cinematic, snap the heron, hear the hummingbird buzzing by my left ear, turn and capture him. Joyfully exhausting.
