Me, too! I always hope I'd find a stray one somewhere.
Painted Buntings are not common in Brooklyn, even in the summer. It definitely should not be there this time of year.
Supposedly one can find them on the south east corner of Colorado in the summer months. I have only been through there a few times in my life, and I have never seen one. Yet.
