CLOSED: CLOSED: Weird durable brown bug drinking my blood

Tel Aviv, Israel

A bug that i think is a beetle/fly thing (wings, six legs i think, brown and with a big butt) kept flying into me, and eventually got into my hair without me noticing it for a while. I pulled it out and it kept landing on my leg. I caught it with a tissue paper and squished it several times, to no avail, every time I checked the tissue to see if it was dead it appeared unharmed. Freaked out by this devil bug, I throw it out balled up in the paper. A few minutes later I decided I was being silly and went to see if the bug was still in the paper (IT WAS, just chilling there) to take some pictures for you. I finally succeeded in my quest to squish the foe, and there was red stuff on the paper, so I guess it was drinking my blood.
What is this weird, resiliente, scalp-blood sucking bug with no survival instinct?! Do you think more will show up or should I not worry about it?
(by the way, I live In Israel and the vicious attack happened at night, if that is any help)

I suspect that this is a louse fly (family Hippoboscidae), These are obligatory blood feeders, but humans are not their usual host...
