Every day more mushrooms are popping up in my yard! I pull them up, just to keep it neater, but I hate to just throw them out! Are they okay added to my compost bin?

sure. They are just the 'flower' parts of the fungus. They'll rot down in no time.
Definitely fine to put in the compost and I agree with Sally G ....not much waiting involved for their becoming more 'mush' than 'room'
