I live in central Minnesota. This unfortunate bird flew into my window. I have never seen one like this before. It is about 7 inches long.
What Kind of a bird is this?
Scarlet Tanager, female.
Might be worth adding some raptor silhouette cutouts to the window, they can work to reduce window casualties like this.
