MsJen, it stays yellow, right instead of turning the goldish color that CG, DS do, right? Irish, brugs are way too confusing, we should make a list of those that are so much alike so people will know.

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

A cross reference list may just help with the confussion maybe we can get one of the resendent experts to help????
want to vickie hardings site and she has them both on there maybe she thinks there different and I know she knows lots more than I

the jy stays yellow, no color changes at all. im not sure how to explain the flower, im sure there is a technical explanation somewhere.
my cg and jo, both hang down and are flared at the bottom. the jy hangs at a slight angle, and doesnt have the flared skirt. its really not one of my favorites.

MsJen, thanks for the info. don't you think cg, jo and ds are all very similar? JT, look out, i got this JY at valleygrow, guess earl can get confused too.

Arlene,
Jen is correct on the JY...starts out yellow stays yellow...here is one from LBJ

Ms Jen, would be interested in some. would you like to trade cuttings? i have sitting in water getting roots from brugman, suavolens pink, solid gold (tons), versi peach, some cypress gardens, also isabella, jean pasco (all the above are marked right as of now!). also could send a cutting of a brugman hybrid, turns light peach/pinky kind of. thanks arlene aw, geez, i meant to send you email! looking for homes for H. cannabinus and single confederate rose seeds...

arlene!! I don't have suavolens pink, do you have another?

Jen, My one and only Jamican Yellow passed to brug heaven. I have none to trade except my unnamed cream. I could send cuttings from my Jacobinia or postage. I really liked the looks of Jy and was so hoping he would make it. Kept trying until he was a completely shriveled stick. I fear Jean has passed also but haven't given up on her yet. Most are doing so well, I guess some just die. They finally had to come in last night, we're suppose to be in the very low 30s by tomorrow morning. My house looks like a jungle. Pam

arlene, if you would like the cuttings just email me for my addy. ill send those out for postage. maybe in the spring ill holler for cuttings of the isabella and the suavolens pink.
Pam, if youre interested in the jy and jean (pasco?) email me and ill give you my addy. ill send them out for postage only.
i dont want any more cuttings or babies to try to nurse through the winter. my house already looks like a jungle and the kids are eating on the floor : )
be sure to email
jen
p.s. GLORIA, did i tell you i have been banned from your house, lol

MsJen....now, now... Tell Bill I have run out of plants to give away right now but that could change in the near future. LOL

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

we lugged the plants out, again...this is getting tiresome.
maybe now would be the time to add a few more, hes not talking to me right now, lol

Jen,
don't get tired ...our cold weather hasn't even started yet. :0)

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

MsJen, my tradition is to haul them in and out and then sometime in late jan/early feb it gets really cold and everything gets left outside. i try not to get new plants that won't come back from frost.
