CLOSED: A Ring-billed Gull?

A gull in Bar Harbor. I think I'm 80% sure it's a Ring-billed. But could it be a third year Herring Gull?

It is a third year Herring Gull - note the little red spot just inside the black bill band; also the bill is too stout for Ring-billed.
