Arlene,I have one that I got from Valley Growers. It hasn't bloomed yet but the leaves look just like Chas Grimaldi,Dr Seuss and Solid Gold.I am hoping for some difference in the blooms.Remind me,in the spring, and I will send you a cutting. It's too small now.

JT.... mine came from valleygrow!!! hope yours is really JY (it is supposed to stay a lighter yellow, right?) was thinking about asking earl, figure someday i will come up with another one, thanks for your offer. arlene

My JY has a totally different leaf than the above mentioned. Its more of a paler green and more slender. i dont remember right off if it has serrated leaves or not.
i've got a pic of it somewhere. ill look for it

Jutner Orange is Charles Grimaldi. A hybridizer from overseas --?? can't think of where(Rosabella is her baby) has determined through pollenating and tracing the name back that they are the same plant. She's been hybridzing for over 20 yrs. Charles Grimali is the correct name. So that's one less to have to keep track of.

Tig, do you mean Monika? I think that jutner orange, charles grimaldi and san francisco are all the same. Also she said that grand marnier and lacks are the same. I ordered her book and it should be arriving momentarily. Now if I could read German, I'd be in great shape. I'll have fun looking at the pictures.

Brugcrazy I have a good friend whom is a German translator For the police here if you need any parts translated

The main difference to me in the 2 was the shape of the plants... the JO i have is spread out at least 15 feet in every directionn, covering up plants, i have been nipping it to give other stuff a chance at sun. frankly i don't see much difference in the CG/JO and Dr suess except the stalks go straight up several feet before branching, unlike the others....trying to say this nicely, i am POed! all my larger plants this year turned out to be 3 kinds.... won't go into the list again. and i am sure i sent some mislabeled brugs in all of my confusion... guess it is everywhere though, is why none of my first five were named right. so i traded JJsgarden for charles grimaldi, sent her JO!

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

hey Arlene there still brugs and are still a very pretty and good smelling plant

Arlene,
So the Dr Suess looks like the CG and JO....I had a brug bloom today and the tag said Dr. Suess and it is really a small white flower...kinda pretty. This is a very common thing with trading Brugs...mislabeling...it is very easy to get them mixed up. :0)

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

I think there are really only 3 Brugs....white,pink and yellow.3 Brugs with 100 different names. :>)

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Gloria, i sure hope it wasn't me!!! earl at valley grow says if you are gonna have just one, dr seuss is the one, and brugman favors dr seuss over CG.... but to tell you the truth, i don't see a lot of difference. dr seuss does seem to bloom really fast. meant to tell you beccalynn is really pretty and a long lasting flower!! so glad to have her.

arlene, I have a jamaican yellow that I got from Eric, it's sunshiny yellow, and doesn't turn gold. Did you ever get one? I can send it with James tomorrow.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

tig, bless you, bless you!!! you have mail.

Arlene,
Glad you like Becca Lynn. I have seed pods on Whiskers again but this time I didn't pollinate it. I was hoping Whiskers had crosses with Milk and Honey.....just have to wait and see.

oh there go the promiscuous brugs again...i tell ya, we gotta have a talk with these girls.

Tig,
The jamaican yellow I sent you is one I recieved from Native Habitat several years ago. It was a cutting from my very first Brugmansia. Glad to see everyone has plenty of seeds. Seems as if it was only yesterday and no one had seeds at all or just a stray seedpod here or there.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I had one of them bloom Eric, and it is the pale yellow, very nice flower. That's cool that I have a piece of your first. Maybe that will bring me some good luck:)
