CLOSED: Need help please - just returned from Alaska

Lakeland, FL

1, Looks like a white winged scoter to me. This photo was taken underway in Icy Strait Point.
2 & 3 these two photos are of the same bird, one in flight, taken in Talkeetna

Now I'm thinking #s 2&3 could be a fox sparrow, what does everyone think?

Yep, White-winged Scoter and Fox Sparrow.

Likely that Fox Sparrow is going to be split into 3 or 4 species in the near future, with different ones in coastal southern Alaska and central Alaska; which part of Alaska are these from?

Thank you Resin, for the IDs. The fox sparrow was at a lodge in Talkeetna which is near Mt McKinley.

Thanks! I'd guess that's far enough inland for it to be 'Red' Fox Sparrow rather than coastal 'Sooty' Fox Sparrow. Map: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:FoxSparrowMap.png
