I have squash plants wandering all over my garden and swallowing up plants or climbing bean trellises. Some of the plants, like the spaghetti squash, have formed a lot more than we will ever consume. Can I cut the leading ends off the plants and allow the formed to develop without hurting anything?
Can I cut my squash plants back?
You can trim them back, but don't go too crazy -- they'll need that foliage if you get hit hard with squash bugs or other nasties.
You can also eat the baby squash like you would summer squash.
