I left my freshly-dug-up daffodil and hyacinth bulbs outside in the shade for a week and a half. I read on the 'Net that I should cure them where its cool and dark (inside) but now they're dry and hard. Did I kill them?
I got sick and then I forgot them. . . . I'm so worried, this is all my hyacinth bulbs and most of my daffodils, too!
Did I kil my bulbs??
I doubt you have killed them. plant them back inground and watch them bloom next spring and every spring thereafter. In fact, there was no reason for you to lift them ever. Having said that, daffies are tough; hyacinths, a littler iffyer
Sometimes bulbs purchased at big box stores aren't of the best quality and how strongly they return in subsequent years remains to be seen. Buying them from a good local or online nursery is better but doesn't guarantee 100% return either, so keep that in mind as you wait for their return next spring.
Again, replant now them and forget about them. good luck
