Hello All!

I am new, but have introduced myself on the other category pages. I have been so caught up in reading all this wonderful info that I didn't even come here! I live in Goodlettsville Tn. that's about 7 miles from downtown Nashville, and I love to grow plants. I want to start growing lavender next planting season so if anyone out there has any info, seedlings, plants etc email me! I own Nashville WaxWorks and make all types of herbal remedies and soaps and candles and also teach classes to folks who want to do it themselves. I use a lot of botanicals and herbs in my formulas and want to grow them myself as I spend lots of $$$ ordering them from all over. I am looking to build a greenhouse too. I have a wish list but haven't posted anything except lavender and coltsfoot so far. I grow lots of house plants and am going to upload some pics soon for ID purposes then to trade. I am in to the unusual in the houseplant dept. and in closing I just want to say I LOVE IT HERE!!!!!!

Donnajo, welcome to the garden. I will be looking for something to trade for some of your wares. Do you have a web site for the business? I attended our annual Christmas Affair in Austin yesterday, and someone from Tenn. had a booth with several types of pomades, soaps, sachets, things like that. That is a fundraiser the Junior League puts on annually. BTW, Tenn was well represented. Must be lots of talent in them thar hills.

Glad there was so much talent from TN there for you to see! Yes we have lots here and I teach others that are interested. The main thing I tell them when they come thru the door wanting to "copy" someone else's designs is...YOU have to let YOUR personality shine thru YOUR creations so experiment experiment experiment! I just love to experiment! I do have a website we are in the process of updating but parts are up as well as our new logo of the Nashville skyline. It can be viewed at nashvillewaxworks.com and if you don't see it there call!

Any questions I can answer here are welcome on the soap and candle making craft.

By the way...has anyone ever thought of having a distillation forum? Wonder if that is one we could talk Dave into? :) Anybody got pull with Dave????? :)
