This is the third time I have tried to post this last clematis. I will do it again. This is number 6. It blooms the same time as # 5, and I think they are the same plant. This year's blooms on number 6 are much smaller (from 5 inches to 3 inches) any ideas why? I put horse manure on both and Epsom salts on number 6.
Any ideas what the name of this one is?
Id please
I am no expert but this sure looks like my Ville de Lyon. No idea why the blooms are smaller.
Yes, I think that's what it is also. I can't believe I somehow ended up with so many (3) that look very much alike. Two of which bloom at the same time and 1 that blooms very early.
The blooms are smaller, but they are very pretty. They are a little richer in color. The only variables I can think of were:
Diluted Epsom Salts
Aged Horse Manure
Colder than usual winter
Maybe it's reverted back to some of its parentage.
Thank you for responding and giving me your opinion.
