Please help I.D. It's first time I found this bird in our area. It was crossing the road as hubby and I drove through the area on our way home. It was about the size of a Dove, maybe a little smaller. In the photos, the middle photo, you can find it almost directly below the tree trunk. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is a quail, Northern Bobwhite. I am still waiting to see ours for the year.
