I'm in a quandry this gift-giving season: my father-in-law has everything he needs; but he loves plants, especially tropicals. Since this is going to be a tight Christmas this year, I was wondering if I could trade for a rooted cutting. I'm a jeweler and metalsmith, so I could trade my skills and wares for your cuttings. You could trade me a few versicolors for some garnet or peridot S.S. earrings for that special someone, for example. Or maybe I could craft some copper labels for the garden so you can remember what you planted last year and where you planted it. I'm experimenting now with making Japanese rain chains out of copper; perfect for the garden. Please let me know if any of you are interested; I'm very flexible with what I can make :)

rachel!! I just got my earrings today and I am thrilled, they are beautiful!!! The stones are exquisite, and the silver is so fine. I couldn't be happier!! I hope your plants all arrive in good condition, and that your FIL loves them.
