I would appreciate the ID of this bee. It doesn't have the orange bands of the honey bee

CLOSED: A hairy bee feeding on the flowers of Chamelaucium uncinatum
This very well could be a honey bee (Apis mellifera); like humans, this species can show considerable variability in coloration. See v for another bandless individual and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Apis_mellifera_subspecies for detailed information on the various subspecies.
