Recipe for Lemon / Lavender Scones
2 1/2 cup bisquick
1/3 cup sugar... I use 1/2 cup
2 Tbsp cold butter
1 egg beaten
1- 6 oz container lemon burst yogurt or lemon yogurt
1/4 cup Heavy cream
1 Tbsp grated lemon peel
1 Tbsp fresh lavender broken into small bits or you can use Thyme if you prefer
1 tbsp heavy cream
1 tbsp sugar
preheat oven 400*
Grease or spray cookie sheet
In large bowl mix bisquick, 1/3 cup sugar. But in Butter until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
In small bowl mix egg, yogurt and 1/4 cup heavy cream.
Stir into crumb mixture
Stir in lemon peel and lavender or Thyme
Place dough on cookie sheet using greased hands. Pat into 8 inch round. Brush W/ Heavy cream and sprinkle lightly with sugar.
Cut down into round with knife into 8 wedges but do not separate.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes till light golden brown. Cool 5 min then drizzle with lemon glaze.
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp Lemon juice.
