CLOSED: He's blue, but not a bluejay

I heard this guy before I saw him, muttering the way bluejays do. He paused only briefly at the birdbath and I only got a few quick photos. Would love to know what kind of bird this is!

That is the Mexican Jay or Gray-breasted Jay - Aphelocoma wollweberi

Thank you, thank you. Was just bemoaning the fact that I couldn't get away to see birds in other locales, when a Mexican Jay flies all the way North to visit me in Colorado!

Not Mexican Jay, that's more uniform blue all over. This one is a Woodhouse's Scrub Jay (a.k.a. interior Western Scrub Jay).

Oh, I see now. Still not a common sight in Denver's back yards, but not phenomenal. It was a treat regardless.
