spring Brassica weed, Maryland, name...

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

There's a spring weed, a Brassica, with a rosette of very dark green and very shiny leaves. From this will be bright yellow flowers. Name that weed/ invasive! I just can't remember.

I might be thinking of Sinapis arvensis

Both occur nation-wide. A photo might be helpful.

I am sure it would
"both?" --I believe your link gave me a page of images with many different species

Doh! I was thinking of Barbarea vulgaris and I guess oblivious to the other "clutter". Sorry, my bad.

What a slap-dash duo!

First, no pictures of the culprit. Then, an avalanche of images of invasives - sans specificity.

What's this forum come to?

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

It's come to- Hey, I'm making conversation, not solving the world's problems LOL

Probably Barberea...and maybe Just maybe I will bring myself to grab an image...

This is a very casual relationship. I haven't shaved and Sally is wearing no make-up.

Oh My! How did my avatar get in your photo? We have to stop meeting like this. As to the plant in question, now that I see it I am more determined than ever that it is Barbarea vulgaris!! Quite edible by the way.

THAT'S more like it.

Quality banter replete with understandable and useful information...visuals to boot.
