This critter recently began showing up as our first day of Spring arrived. Many juncos foraging on the ground - at least I thought they were Juncos. Now they are feeding where I normally see chickadees and Downy woodpeckers. Tell me please!
CLOSED: Oh Dear, What is This?
Bushtit. Nice birds!

They certainly have fierce little eyes. What a treat - looking forward to learning more about them! Thanks for the ID.
They occasionally turn up in my yard, working their way down my hedge row, in loose little flock. They stay together with high pitched peeps, they sound like baby chicks.
