Round or Cube Steak 3lbs.
Salt and Pepper or Seasoning salt to taste.
Fat 1/2 cup.
Celery, diced 1cup
Flour 4 tbl.
Water 4 cups
MSG 2 tsp.
Onion, medium, chopped 1
Cooked Carrots, cubed 2 cups
Cooked potatoes, cubed 2 cups
Cooked peas 1 cup
Mushrooms and liquid 2 8oz. cans
Brown meat in hot fat after it has been rolled in seasoned flour.
Add celery, onions, mushrooms and water, simmer gently for 1 1/2 hours.
Mix flour with a little water and add to broth , stirring until gravey thickens.
Add cooked vegetables, stirring in gently to retain shapes.
Pour mixture into casseroles,cover with pastry rolled to pie crust consistencey. peirce top to allow steam to escape. Bake 20 minutes at 425.
