I am going insane trying to find a "Victoria" Plum tree. I've Googled/ searched for it a million times but find only British growers who have it but won't ship to the U.S.
Does anyone know where I can buy one?
Where in the U.S. can I buy a "Victoria" Plum tree?
Sorry - it does seem to be a variety that is geographically limited in availability. You might try contacting some of the American fruit tree companies to see if they know of a way to get one into the US, or recommend something comparable that is more readily available. (The phytocertificates make it pretty cost-prohibitive to try to get one imported on your own.)
Thank you Terry, I'll try that. I have my heart set on that variety and I don't want to give up that easily...
Here are some mail order fruit tree specialists in Oregon: http://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/advanced.php?search_text=&cat%5B158%5D=73&cat%5B157%5D=&state=or&country=XX&sorter=company_name&submit=Search - one of them may be able to help you.
Also, there's a resource in Corvallis for various fruit scion wood: http://www.ars.usda.gov/Main/docs.htm?docid=23587 - I don't know if they have plums, but you may want to contact them and find out if they can assist you in your search.

Raintree Nursery sells the plum you are looking for.
John
I gather it is the most popular favorite plum in the UK. I also gather that it has poor disease resistance. Also, your plum should correspond with your zone's chill hours ( otherwise it may bloom too early or late & sparsley) Proceed with caution.
