Which do you consider to be good bird ID websites ?

I have, in the past, used whatbird.com, but when
I went there today, it seemed disorganized and the
calls (to listen & use the call to ID) was not working well..

So I need some suggestions for other sites which
would be more helpful.

Thanks in advance !

Are you talking about something like Cornell All About Birds?

I've not had troubles with Whatbird, but maybe they've changed something recently. It's been awhile since I've used their calls since our new computer has no sound. If you go to their forum, tell them what the problem is and someone should help.

One site I use is http://www.discoverlife.org/. Not only do they have birds, but bugs, flowers, etc. To get to the guides click on the IDnature guides link at the top. One trick I've learned with that site when the list of potential species is still too long, is click on the Simplify link above the list and sometimes new options show up.
