Nice shot of a flower:
My Thnaksgiving cactus is in bloom
very nice!
I fiddled around with mine the other day, it is just like yours. Your photo is much better than mine-it is what I was trying to capture!
Tommy--
That is a very nice close-up....
I have so many pictures of my Th-Giv. cactus--I do not want to
choose which to post. Many colors too.....
Let me show you the REAL/TRUE Christmas cactus in bloom. The color is fuchsia.
Differences from the TH.-Giv. Cactus.
*The stems have a pendulous growth habit--leaves are smaller and slim.
*Also note--the leaves have no points--but are just lightly scalloped.
*And--the blooms hang straight down-vs swinging upward as in the TG Cactus.
.
This was a gift from someone on DG--as 5 small cuttings in Nov. 2012.
I was tickled to see it bloom so well this past Christmas.(2014).
1--Here is the whole plant
2--Some fronds with blooms
3--Bloom close-up--see how it hangs straight down? Love this shot!
4--This is how this plant started--from 5 cuttings from "Birder" on DG.
It grew very well and fast....
