I'm horrible when it comes to ID'ing hawks and the like, so can someone help me? Best guess is an American Kestrel. I know the photos are cruddy, but hopefully it's enough for an ID.

Yes this is! Congratulations! This is a female because there is no blue on the wings and she has the streaks going all the way down the front.
This is a great bird to have around and one of my favorites. We currently have a female here using our three sided building to roost in overnight.
