Pruning my Angel Trumpets (Brugmansia)

Copperas Cove, TX(Zone 8a)

I've moved my Angel Trumpets into our new greenhouse. They're currently full of blooms and there are more starting up. I'm wondering if I should prune them since they'll be wintering in the greenhouse. I've bought a propane heater that I'll be using for the cold ugly days so it should stay warm inside. I know today it was 67 outiside and 102 inside. I had to hurry up and open the door and one of the vents to cool it off a bit inside.

Texas is hard to cover plants, by 1000am its too hot, by several hours later its too cold. Temperate cool temps are best for dormant plants, but trimming normally waits for January.

You're right about that. Sounds good, I'll wait and see if they even go dormant in the greenhouse.

It just seems like my plumies or my brugs are more susceptible to fungal problems and/or rotting when I prune later than Oct. I would just let them be until late Feb or March.
