Distiller Interested in Candle-Making

New Paltz, NY

Hello All,

I am a distiller that has spent many years admiring the art of traditional French distillation of spirits. A few years ago, I took advantage of a stay in the South of France, in Grasse, to spend more time studying perfume and their systems used for manufacture... and fell in love. Today, I was spending the weekend commuting with my partner and said "candle-making would probably be a seriously rewarding art... and it likely connects with the art of perfumery and distilling..." And so I ventured here, hoping someone in the mix enjoys using inefficient, but demanding methods to make candles in a very (antiquated) labor-intensive way that results in the best possible candle for throwing rapturous scents! I would love to make hyrdolats, perform enfleurage, etc. in my spare time for anyone that is interested in swapping knowledge! Cheers and kind regards to all!
