A sterile plant in Europe and the USA.
I got seeds from a Russian gardener and the plants did set seed. A unique chance to grow this plant from seed.
Perennial in zone 8 and higher. Annual in colder zones.
I only want to exchange these rare seeds for seeds on my wishlist, see http://www.seedsite.eu/wishes
or other rare seeds.
Rare offer: seeds of Cosmos atrosanguineus
I'd be interested. The only somewhat rare seeds I have are: pink dandelions, echium wildpretti, and tweedia caerulea. These are all fresh this year from my garden.
I do live in zone 9a so they'd have a good chance at survival.
I just want to say that if you trade with me I will be a good steward of the planet and make sure any seeds I manage to coax out of them will be distributed and planted.

The Tweedia and Echium are pretty, but they are not hardy in my zone 6.
I would like to try the pink dandelion.
Please send me a d-mail with your full name and address.
Jonna - nice to see you!
I've been out of gardening - - actually, I'm still out of gardening except for what I do on my sunny porch with a growhouse. I've been watching this very slow forum, though not on a daily basis.
Question: Does Belgium prohibit the importation of bulbs? I saw that you are seeking Lycoris radiata, known commonly as the ''Surprise Lily''. I don't have seed for that but I might have a few bulbs to share with you.

LazLo, I would love a few bulbs of the Lycoris radiata. Belgium has hardly restrictions on importing bulbs.
I got seeds of the beautiful Penstemon strictus last year and have young plants now, so thank you for the offer, but I don't need seeds of that plant anymore.
I will send you a d-mail.
What a great picture in your post!
Jonna
If you would be interested in some Japanese Morning Glories I have some nice ones.
Thank you for the offer luvsgrtdanes, but I'm not interested in Japanese Morning Glories, they do not grow well in my garden.
Okay
Jonna -- I'm glad to read the Penstemon grew for you. I had a nice little plant, but my son forgot to water it, and i think it's dead... not sure if I had anymore seeds... but it was a lovely plant while in bloom.
I was hoping to snag a few of those black Cosmos from you in the swap... if you are out, that's ok, I can try again next year... but I am in Zone9 now, not zone5.
TCS, If the Penstemon survives winter here, I will offer the seeds next year in the Piggyswap.
I will offer a few packets of the Cosmos seeds in the swap this year, still thinking about how to do that, because almost everyone wants them.
I got requests from all over the world.
I am sure you have many requests.... very unique color. I can wait ... I'm still weeding my flower beds trying to make room.
Thanks Jonna.
Terese
Jonna, I have Atropa Belladonna seeds. Are you interested?
Buttoneer, thanks for the offfer, but I already have the Atropa belladonna in my garden.
how about Passiflora lutea?
I have hardly room for vines and I just got seeds of the much hardier P. incarnata. The P. lutea might not be hardy here.
Johnna, it;s hardy here in Pennsylvania zone 6B.
Well, I have only room for 1 climber, so I prefer to plant the P incarnata, which will be hardy here for sure.
I also had a look at your have list, but there is nothing on it for me. Sorry.
Buttoneer, I purchased seed from here: http://www.seedsite.eu/product/cosmos-atrosanguineus
The price was good and the shipping rate was good too. I'm very happy with my purchase. Of course I had to browse and drop a few more thing into my cart that aren't readily available.
Thank you, Mipii!
Jonna -- do you use your vermiculite to sow these?
Yes Terese, I use vermiculite to sow the Cosmos atrosanguineus. You're in a quite warm zone, so keep them out of the sun until you transplant them into pots. Even here, I keep the containers on a (semi) shaded spot, until I transplant them.
thank you.
