I love fall too although everything here is still greener than summer. We don't really have anything you would call winter, but it is still my least favorite season. It's nice to see your seasonal color.

Green, I always love the pictures that you post. It just seems like you should have been a photographer...but no you had to become a chickenhead...lol. So sorry but I have indeed been busy, so busy. I know no excuses, My lovely bride and myself have recently moved which was an event at our age but we managed. I bought myself a new motorcycle, and we have been reconnecting with lost family members. I have missed all of you more than you can imagine...Honestly The wife and I took these pictures very recently here near to where we live.

Green, I love those pictures. I really miss my chickens. Can't have any where I'm at because it's a senior community. That first one is out of this world, I can't tell if its a snow ball, white chicken, white rabbit or just a cotton ball, it just cracks me up. I know so little about those beautiful exotic birds, but, really do enjoy them.

Remember my grandson and his friend that had the electric scooters, well my grandson was ran over by an automobile, it shattered his knee cap and broke the feemer in his right leg in three places. We had to take him home for in home care, for the last four months, He just went back to work. He has a noticible limp but is doing well and pretty happy. What would life be like without all the drama. I'm just so grateful that I'm still healthy enough to be able to care for him.

Hi Porkpal, I want you to know that I think of all of you more than you'd believe. I will alway feel like your all family to me. Sometimes life just grabs us and turns us upside down. I am going to make a concerted effort to read and respond more to all of you...Thank you for your kind words and the feeling is mutual. We moved just a hundred miles. My daughters and grandkids kept bugging us and I love riding with my greatgrandson. Here is a pic of him learning to ride with me and fish...He is a wonderful boy and he spends every Sat with me working to earn Christmas money.

What a great pair you are! He is a lucky young man. - Maybe he needs some chickens...

Bridgewater, ME

I agree, your grandson needs some chickens, just think of the knowledge you could give him on hatching and rasing. He could sell them and make a little money.I done very well this year selling mine,$700.00, I was so pleased, doing something I love doing.Hay you do look good, you are so lucky to have time to spend with him and teach him things. My grands are to old to want to spend time with me anymore, one is almost 19,one is almost 16 and wanting her drivers liscense, she is in drivers ed,and my youngest is 12.MeMe is left behind for they`re friends, school activities and electronic gagets. But I have my memories of them being little. My granddaughters live close so I do get to visit and go to the soccer games. But at that age friends are so important to them. And I understand because I was that way to. These are my granddaughters. My Grandson lives in FL.,I never hear from him

WOW! Two striking beauties. I called my wife in to see your grandaughters and we both agreed they are so beautiful. Of course look at their grandma. I am so fortunate, all most all of my grands are withing thirty to forty miles of us and we have about twelve of them so there is no lack of fun times with them. I think my most favorite thing to do with them is ride bicycles together. I also enjoy a host of neices and nephews. Since I'm the last survivor of my siblings my neices and nephews dote over me and I love it. My princess wife and I just visited two neices we hadn't seen in twenty three years. We had a blast with them..What would we do without family?

WOW Green that was a handsome chunck of change you made selling off some of your birds...I sure can't say I don't miss the birds because I do. Oh well now I just go out and stroke my motorcyle. I bought a Goldwing, its huge but I don't plan of it falling on me...lol...Haystack

OMG, I just clicked on to see your youngest Grandaughter, and her horse. Two beauties. That is such a cute picture. I have always loved horses, they are just so majestic, and when you see that horse with that little darling girl...It really grabs my heart. I love children and I don';t care whose they are...they are so wonderful and challenging. Thanks for the link Green.

Hey the wife and I wanted to wish you and your an early Happy Thanksgiving...Haystack

Bridgewater, ME

Happy thanksgiving to you two to.The almanac says the same thing Hay.It was a horrible winter last year,so much snow and sooooo cold and it lasted forever. We still had snow on the ground in May.We just got a taste of it yesterday. A foot of heavy wet snow.Snow blowing and shoveling this morning, been up since 3:30 am.Bill my husband had to go load his truck and go out so he had to snow blow to get to the garage and plow a path out to the road. The ground is not froze here yet so cant do to much plowing will tear up the lawn.I HATE WINTER!this is what the windows looked like yesterday and looking out my kitchen window at the coop.Had to wade now up to my knees this morning,it had drifted in because of the high winds.
