My tomatoes begin surrounded by the "Wall O Water Tubes". A lot of my lower leaves are wilted and or yellowed. I am wondering if these leaves are best just to be snipped or torn off.
Also, some of my beet leaves are destroyed by leaf miners. The problem has been reduced as the growing season progressed, but should/can these leaves be taken off?
Thanks.
damaged/wilted leaves
yeah i think you could get away with it for the beets, as for the tomatoes, i will leave that one for the ones better experienced there. although i would suggest snipping instead of tearing. Snipping is a lot cleaner and not as damaging.
I would use scissors to remove them from their central stem.
