Sign Up for Fall RU at Rouxcrew, October 4

Summer is supposed to be slipping away with fall soon to be upon us. Judging from the migratory birds that I have seen lately, it might be a very cold winter. The Mississippi Kites have already been and gone, several small flocks of geese have passed, and the hummers have reached swarm levels.

Time to sign up for our fall round up, Saturday, October 4. It is a great opportunity to meet other DG'ers, enjoy good company, good food, swap plants and other garden related things. Once again Dave and I will be hosting at our farm Lonesome Pine, home of the Roux Crew.

We will get a swap thread up shortly, and of course a food thread. Hope to see y'all here.

I am coming and possibly David. David may have a job coming up for 45 days that he is on call 24-7 out of town and not sure when it starts as still in Negotiations

Right now I don't think we need a formal food thread, we will work it out here.

I just found out that Mark will be riding the Tour For Cure in Louisiana that weekend, so it may be just me. And maybe a friend if any are available.

Anyone want plastic pots? I was going to drop them in the recycling bin at the arboretum unless someone can use them. 4" pots and some gallon pots.

I know alot of traders are looking for these. If no one wants them I will take them as I am going to Arlington RU and a ton of DG'ers are looking for both. Thanks.

I wont make it Sat. Home now for 3days but gone Fri. Soon as I have time to gather scattered wits I will drop some stuff off at Joys, so tired I have perpetually gritty eyeballs- sandman needs to knock off his attempts to find my sleeping hours, sigh.

Gymgirl, won't know if we are bringing one or two g-daughters til later tonite but glad Lily will have someone to play with.
In the spring, Jack took Lily fishing in the pond. The only fish they caught was eaten by a snake right in front of them!!! lol No danger, just Nature!!!

We have not been feeding the fish regularly, but Evan has seen some cats when he did feed. I have no problem with anyone fishing. We did do a bit of thinning of the water snake and turtle populations in the pond this summer. They were just a little too prolific.
