Can I Overwinter hibiscus acetosella

I have a red leaf hibiscus acetosella appx. 5 feet tall that I planted this spring. Can I transfer to a pot and overwinter in my garage? I am in zone 7b and I understand that this plant will not overwinter here outdoors.
