I made a garden last year under a biggish pine tree. I just started a thread about it in the Pacific Northwest Forum, as the plant choices were for the PNW. I thought some of you-all might be interested, as this is such a tough problem no matter where you live. So here is the link (Pam the daylily looks great!).
