Well, I think I figured it out. New Jersey Tea, Ceanothus americanus.
Recently, I found a great site for narrowing down plants by color and state.

The one thing is it doesn't have all colors, so they put oranges with red flowers and purples with either blue or red.
Thanks so much for the ID suggestion and the site as well. I bought and planted a Ceanothus americanus here in GA but it hasn't flowered yet. How exciting to find and to learn. Thanks, again.
