It looks like some type of Thistle but don't know which, where did you find them?

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

I am in Auburn, In - up near Ft Wayne. Thistle I didn't expect.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Thistle- the cotton from the first is all over everything. I see these in the mid east states of the Ohio Valley to Ks...

Expect this to be a primrose, along with the south side of a bumblebee. End of pix, for now. No milkweeds here tho the syriaca is seen in clusters here and there with the tuberosa occasionally cropping up

The blue is chickory.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Oh really! Chicory! See if i can find seeds...

Arlington, TX

I haven't seen it growing down here but it's a rampant spreader up north. Only attractive for a short time too.

Arlington, TX

I looked it up. Chickory isn't a US. Native.

(Becky), Lipan, TX(Zone 7b)

Yes Josephine got it, thistles are the fluffy ones from the first set

Next ones are Dipsacus aka teasel.

N3L is right, chicory for the blue one.

Orange flowered, heart leaf looks like malva family, but I can't figure which

Last yellow looks like oenothera rhombipetala

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Its yellow actually. They've opened finally so I get a pic

Check Abutilon theophrasti for your second to last.

Had forgotten about the abutilons- knew the bloom shape was one I ought to know. theophrastis is agreed, and the new sprouts are everywhere here. Works well with the rest of the mess grown wild here tho.
