CLOSED: identifying a bug

Pekin, IL

These microscopic bugs were all over my outside table last night and they got on my things which I did notice till I started picking up my things. I used a microscope that attaches to my phone which zooms 60x the zoom. They jump and there were hundreds of them all over.

This is a springtail, a primitive arthropod (most authorities do not consider these to be true insects) in the order Collembola. With the exception of a few species that may damage very tender vegetation, they are harmless nuisance pests.
