Hydrangea on Texas Coast

Rockport, TX

What is the best Hydrangea for the Texas Gulf Coast. 1000' from gulf water and of course south wind.
Please let me know your best luck with a variety of Hydrangea you have had a good experience with near gulf waters.

I appreciate your expert experiences.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Most of us arent 'lucky' enough to be that close to the gulf waters! Seawall was pretty sandy last time I was there. Salt isnt a hydrangea prerequisite like the ph is, chuckle...and the winds are probably pretty hard on that plant. Wish ya luck wwith that- some of these guys have lived down that close, so you may get some responses...

Rancho Santa Rita, TX(Zone 8a)

Mebbe Mexican hydrangea (not really
a hydrangea) would work better.
